FAQ

What areas in California or across the country do you look for properties?

San Diego, Ventura, Lake Arrowhead

What is the process if I want to sell my house to California Home Liberty?

The process is simple and straightforward.  We will schedule a no-pressure walk through of your home and present you with a fair competitive offer that will be good for three days.  If the offer seems fair to you and you choose to move forward, then we’ll sign a purchase agreement and California Home Liberty will submit the paperwork to the title company who will process the sale.

When will I get money for the deposit?

When California Home Liberty submits the signed purchase agreement to the title company, we will also submit a check for the deposit which is held by the title company until the sale is complete.  At the completion of the sale, you will get all of the proceeds from the sale of the house.

Can I get money before the house sells?

Yes, in some circumstances California Home Liberty offers the Immediate Cash in Hand Program™.  This program offers qualified sellers up to $10,000 in as little as 24 hours after signing the purchase agreement.

How long does it take to sell my house to California Home Liberty?

The process can take as little as 14 days, but we can be flexible for homeowners who need additional time and schedule the final closing up to 90 days after accepting an offer.

Will you purchase my house in any condition?

Yes, we have purchased “zombie” homes in the past that needed extensive work.  Although the value of a home may be affected, we will still offer to purchase your home.

Will you pay off all of my liens on the property?

Yes, in most cases.  When we purchase your home, we will pay off any liens you have, any required inspections, and all closing costs.

How much will I receive for my house?

We provide a competitive offer for your home.  Our offer includes paying all outstanding liens and closing costs.  The cash price offer we agree to is the amount you will receive - there are no hidden costs.

Is it better to sell with a real estate agent?

No, real estate agents generally charge between 5% and 6% to sell your home plus there are many potential pitfalls.  Your home may require expensive repairs required by a lender.  There may not be a buyer at the price you want and there are significant closing costs.  Also, the time to sell could be up to six months or longer.
